Historie
Barton Brands Ltd. je producent mnoha lihovin. Od roku 2009 je součástí Sazerac Company, New Orleans.

Před prohibicí nebyl v Chicagu žádný lihovar - jen obchod s whisky. Dva pánové z Chicaga, Oscar Getz a Lester Abelson, po skončení prohibice spojili své síly a v roce 1933 založili Barton Brands.
V roce 1944 si chtěli zajistit spolehlivý zdroj whisky a koupili lihovar Tom Moore v Bardstownu v Kentucky. Během druhé světové války vyráběl Tom Moore pro armádu neutrální líh, ale pak se vrátil k bourbonu.
Oscar Getz miloval odkaz amerických výrobců whiskey. Léta sbíral memorabilia a nakonec otevřel muzeum whisky ve svých kancelářích v Bardstownu. Oscar Getz Museum existuje dodnes.
Společnosti dnes patří závody Barton Brands v Lansdowne, MD, Barton Brands v Carsonu, CA a Barton 1792 Distillery v Bardstownu, KY.
