Fazenda da Ponte, Itambé do Mato Dentro

Geschichte

The Cachaça Itabirana is produced since the 50’s in the Fazenda da Ponte (“bridge farm”), in the town of Itambé do Mato Dentro. Initially it received the name of Cachaça Cauê, in homage to the Cauê Peak, existing in the region where the farm is located.

In 1988 this cachaça received the name of Cachaça da Ponte, in homage to the farm where it is produced. In 90’s, after an up-grated in the installations for production and storage of cachaça in the farm, this cachaça again received a new name, now Cachaça Itabirana.
