History
Company was established in 2008.
Dominican Fine Alcohols (AFD) began as a dream in 2007. Its creation was motivated by the need to increase the production of good quality Dominican alcohol as there was a deficit in the market. Two Dominican families joined together for this project: The Santoni and the Hazim; In addition to two Dominican rum producers: Ron Barceló and Yazoo Investments. Each had previous experience for the different processes and stages of alcohol production, from cane crops to the distillation of a high quality product.
During the following year, the AFD facilities were built and by mid-2009 the first production tests were carried out. At the beginning of 2010 production began formally.
