This privately owned estate distills rum from the end of February to the end of September. Although not many tourists visit this distillery, Trevor, the distiller, and his assistant, Roland, were happy to show me around the distillery buildings and to help me understand what makes Dunfermline rum unique.

Dunfermline closed after hurricane Ivan in 2004.
