In 1960, Georg Hügues OHG was forced to accept state participation. From then on, it was renamed Georg Hügues KG. The new investment funds were not allowed to be used in existing production areas. Therefore, the company concentrated on ice cream production, in addition to distilleries, soft drinks, and spirits.
