Eduardo Delage, Jerez

History

The company was founded in 1919 by Eduardo Delage Atané (1898-1953). He was born in Jerez to a French couple living in Seville. He was successful in business and became president of the Provincial Union of Wines, Beers and Spirits. Between 1941 and 1943 he served as the mayor of Jerez. Eduardo died in a tragic car accident on the road between Jerez and Cádiz. Two of his ten sons, Rafael and Eduardo, took over the management of the company. The company disappeared sometime in the late 1960s.
