Gréb & Vaverčák, Spišská Belá
History
The company Gréb & Vaverčák was founded in 1914 and produced borivka, rum and liqueurs. In 1931, it became a trading company. At that time, Desider Gréb was already running it himself and employed 4 employees. At the end of the 1930s, they had an average turnover of 1.8 million crowns and a profit of 95,000 CZK. In March 1943, he and his son Zoltán created the public trading company D. Gréb a syn. When the front approached in January 1945, they abandoned the operation.
