History

Company was established in 1824.

Irishman Alexander Young (b. 1798) arrived in the USA in 1821. In 1824 he founded a prosperous distillery.

After his death in 1884, his 3 sons operated the distillery until Prohibition.

The distillery was closed and the brand was purchased by Kasser Distillers Products Corp who used it until 1989. The brand was then bought by Laird & Co.
