Company was established in 1854.

The distillery was built by George Truscott sometime around 1854.

Around 1868 it was bought by Thomas Moore, owner of 'Thomas Moore's Son and Co.' and in 1872 it was taken over by George Farthing.

In 1884, on the letterhead of the firm is 'EN Cook & Co.' distillery listed as Rum Distillery.
