The company was founded by E. G. Muraro, an Italian imigrant, who started the company producing wine, using techniques and grape varieties brought from Europe along with the family passion for wine making.
However, the Brazilian tropical climate, the abundance of sugar cane plantations and the varieta of tropical fruits available in Brazil have stimulated the company to invest in the production of distilled drinks.
Nowadays, Muraro & Cia. manufactures a wide range beverages using modern equipment in its 12,000 sq meters premises, with a stock capacity of 10,5 millions liters.
