The Legend Of The Jack Malantan
Jack Malantan is a mythical and folkloric character whose history is based in Africa. Jack Malantan sleeps for half a month, during the moon shine period and is awake during the dark nights period. When he is awake, it is believed that he has mystical powers which strike fear in the hearts of children and grown-ups alike.
Before going crabbing in the dark of night, the grown-ups told the children of Jack Malantan so they would be too afraid to venture into the night. The grown-ups would be too afraid to venture into the night. The grown-ups would then enjoy a 3fun filled2, 3children-free2 night of revelry and brag about how many baskets of crabs they caught. Of course this was the time when most children were conceived and during the moonlight they were born.

The Legend Of The Yer Ho'
There is a dreadlocked creature which roams the islands- an awesome, red-lipped, raven- beaked, ten-foot tall creature with white eye sockets staring from a black-masked face. He is the wise, yet shy Yer Ho', endowed with the powers of his Mexican ancestors and a life span three times that of a human. He cavorts with supernatural spirits and his keen senses and lightning-like speed keep him out of human sights.
Born from the Hamatsa Indian culture of N.W. Mexico, this bird-man crossed the waters to make his hideaway in the dense pine forests of The Bahamas. If you're lucky enough to see him crouching among the pine trees, catch him! All it takes is one touch and you'll be blessed with long life, wealth and power.
