Geschichte
In 1775 there were more than 70 distilleries on the French island of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean. Today only a few remain. Sadly, although the Gardel estate still produces sugar, its column or patent still, made it's last drop of rhum in 1992 - and this is it [ie. Classic Rum of Bristol Spirits Limited]. In that year, after 122 years of continuous production, the still was demolished.
