Geschichte
Baron de Lajus built the house in 1776. One century later, the Bally family established there a distillery.
Group COFEPP, owner of the Dillon and Depaz repurchases the Saint James and Bally which had hitherto the group Remy Cointreau.
Bally began making rhum agricole in 1917 in the town of Carbet. Noted for its aged rums, distilled at the St. James distillery.
St. James also produces Maniba, Madkaud, Hardy, and Bally.
Sugar rafinery was founded in 1774 by the Lajus family.
In 1923 it was transformed to distillery using machines from Dariste distillery.
From 1918 is the distillery owned by Jacques Bally.
The distillery was closed in 1974. Machines were sold to Haiti and column still was moved to Saint-James distillery.
