Cachacas Seleta & Boazinha

Seleta and Boazinha Ind. Importacao and Exportacao Ltda., were established in 1. November, 1970 by Mr. Antonio Eustaquio Rodrigues, who produces and bottles cachacas: SELETA & BOAZINHA.

The company, located in the city of Salinas/MG, known as the World-wide Capital of the Cachaca, produces excellent aguardente.

The word SELETA is derived from "selecao", and it has an eagle as a logo, wich expresses a bird that always searchs the heights, to enlarge its horizontes. The BOAZINHA received its name from the proper consumer.

With more than 30 years of tradition, the cachaca is aged in wooden barrels for 02 the 03 years. The SELETA is aged in special barrels, that ware used for medicins treating infection of throat or being used as digestive. The BOAZINHA is aged in barrels from a balsam, that is used for threatments of wounds.

Antonio Eustsquio Rodrigues

Antonio Eustsquio Rodrigues was born in 22. October, 1948 in Salinas/MG, as the son of Antonio Rodrigues Da Silva and Dona Aniselina Coast.

He started to work already since he has been seven. Passed some time, and the boy wanted to leave the studies and work in the opening of a dam. But concluding that the service was very heavy, he returned to the studies, to conclude the gymnasium in the Agricultural School.

Later he opened in his house a store where he sold cereals.

Later he started to sell spirits that he bought from others, bottling and selling it as "BOAZINHA". But then he started to manufacture proper cachaca, the "SELETA one", as it is today, known even in the exterior.

In May 17 1977, Rodrigues married Maria Eunice Silva, who had four children: Renata Romualdo Rodrigues, Antonio Eustsquio Rodrigues Son, Fernanda Romualdo Rodrigues and Daniela Romualdo Rodrigues.
